Assignment #4 by Marte Christine Bakken

Foreign Food Product:
I found a store where I knew they had quite a lot of foreign products, and I had several times walked by some of them before and wondered what some of they were. I here found some products that had writing only in some Asian language. There were at least unknown symbols to me, so I looked around for a bit, and found myself stopping in the aisle with products that seemed to be filled with mostly snacks and crackers.
I was surprised to see how many of the products that had photos and symbols that I at least think I understood. But there were also many other products that I had no idea what would taste like. I decided to try out a product that reminded me of a product I used to eat when I was a child. My mind had settled on the fact that it had to be some sore of snacks.  The pictures of small koalas on the product seemed like it was meant for children and therefor my mind assumed it was something sweet. The product next to it was the same brand but had a different color and a picture of a strawberry. This is what made me more sure that it was some sort of sweet candy like product I was about to consume. But still this did not reveal anything about the taste of my product. I walked out of the store with the idea that I had bought some sweet crackers, that perhaps was filled with chocolate inside, but it also reminded me of the look of a dog snack, and that was what worried me the most when I was to try it.
I opened it and as the pictures outside of the package said; it looked like small crackers with the shape of a pillow. The first taste was a little weird, and I didn’t quite manage to determine what the taste was. Although it was quite tasteless, they did match with the idea I had when I bought them; small cookies filled with a little bit of chocolate. The graphics made this purchase much easier and I was almost able to correctly understand what I was buying.
I was quite happy with my purchase, and how it all went, and luckily for me it was not meant for dogs.
