I went to the
“Berkeley Bowl” store on Shattuck Avenue and started looking for some snacks in
the foreign food department where they had a lot of Asian food. Almost
everything in the shelves where written in Japanese or Chinese language.
Although most of it looked like snacks, nothing really looked appealing to me,
so I picked out something with a picture of an orange on, since that is a taste
I am used to.
Inside there were eight round things with an orange color. It looked more like dried egg yolk... The taste was okay, and had somewhat an orange taste to it, but an extremely artificial orange taste. Inside there was some white stuff that looked like melted marshmallows and some darker orange stuff that looked like orange jelly, and it tasted also extremely sweet and very artificial, but it wasn’t that bad. The thing that made me throw it away was the weird consistency it had. I had a lot of fun looking around for something I could eat, but it was hard to find something that looked appealing, and it took me a lot of time when I couldn’t read the language.
I made my decision based mostly on the items surrounding the product, which was (what i believe to be) snacks and candy. I looked trough a lot of items but found only this one product that signalized a known taste to me with its picture of an orange. Everything else on the package was in a foreign language except the picture.
