Assignment #4 by Raul Corral

The market that I chose to go to was called Koreana Plaza and it specialized in selling Korean food. As I went through the aisles I came across an aisle that was filled with container foods. Since I just wanted to eat a small portion of food I went to the aisle that had the contain seal foods. I was attracted to buy this container food because the packaging reminded me of the Chef Boyardee container of foods. When I went to view the picture of the food, the food looked to me like salsa covering up some sort of meatball like design of food.

The illustration of the food it self had an onion or the a figure that looked like an onion right next to the food giving off the impression that no matter what the food turns out to be it will taste like onion. Neighboring food products around my food product chose had a similar style of food proportion of a small blob like design but instead of the design of an onion other food products had the design of chili vegetables. Because I saw what seem to be chili vegetables I was discourage to buy those food products and was drawn yet again to the onion illustrated food product. Before taking a bite of the food product that I had purchase, I was under the impression that it would taste spicy with a strong smell or garlic, and be very semi solid meaty in food size portion.

When I actually took a bite I was right about the taste of the product since it was semi spicy but more of a tomato like with a hint or both garlic and some form of mild pepper. Also the food product was very salted. The food product was not meat like as I ideally though when I took my first bite, but the food product was mainly some sort of paste from a bean or vegetable. Over all, I was right and wrong about the product and after taking a bite of the food product I started to notice the food qualities that I was unable to look closely at first because I thought the food product was something different entirely.
